Well, today I am posting a new painting I did inspired by a hike to Willard Mountain in New Hampshire. It was a beautiful day and my first real hike to an actual peak. It was tough, it really showed me how out of shape I really was and still am. But, it was a moment I will never forget, something I never dreamed I would do! With much struggle and some real effort I did make it to the top, and even got coaxed into going to the edge of the cliff. I will never forget that day!

On our way to the top I saw a tree. It was a funny tree. When I first saw it, from the angle I was at it looked like it had a nose. Once I started walking around it, I realized it had a crooked branch sticking out of it, and from the side you could not see it, it just looked like a big nose. I was so inspired that I decided to paint a picture of that tree, to remember my trip there. The picture of the painting is the picture on here today, and once I get my PC back and up I will put it up with the painting so you can see them together. For now, you will have to just imagine the tree I saw that day. The painting is more reflective of a Van Gogh style painting so it will not reflect the actual picture.

Okay, so far I don’t have my lottery check, still waiting! I did look for work today and found one I felt was promising. Last Friday, I had a black out and ended up in the ER. Rough night, was given time off of work and my boss was not happy. She took me off the schedule immediately and as of today has not put me back on it again. Times sure have changed. The days of people being empathetic and kind or concerned seems to be rare anymore. I was shocked to say the least. So, now I have to make a new plan and create a new income! As always I wait for my art to start selling and for other financial opportunities to come my way (looking of course).

Today, is a day to draw, and devise a plan for tomorrow. Part one will be going to the hospital to check on my paperwork and see if I qualify for assistance with the bill. Also, hoping to make a run for the unemployment office as well to see if I can salvage some kind of an income from there as well. Hopefully with some good luck in my favor the job I applied for today will call me and hire me. Mostly, it would be great if they are good folks to work for. It would be a nice change of pace, and I can only hope that since they are in the business of healthcare, that they have more compassion then my last few employers!

Sending my love to you and yours as always, hope you had a great holiday, whichever you celebrate, and if you don’t I still hope you enjoyed the season. We finally are reaching the dawning of a new year. I for one am very excited to see what it will bring! Lots of love to you, diana

Snow For Christmas!

Well, today was a wonder to behold. Here in New Hampshire we woke up to snow! Not that the weather wasn’t predicted,  but strange when you consider the weather yesterday. All day yesterday, it was like spring outside. The sun was out, bright and clear, the temperatures were mild. It really reminded me of the weather when I first arrived here in Late March. A light jacket is all you needed to enjoy the day. Then Some time over night the temperature dropped and so did the snow. Already with daylight, and the sun shining in the sky, the snow is starting to melt. But, the vision of that beautiful snow, unmarred by people, first thing in the morning, brings a smile to my face. Already it is feeling more like Christmas!

Okay, so now some quick updates, I am sure you are aware that I am an artist. If not, you will be familiar with that idea now. So,, for those of you who do follow me and my art, I do have a new painting to share with you. This is a painting I finished about a month ago. Maybe two now, just before I moved to my new address, it is a giraffe, felt in the mood to see Africa, SO, I decided to create a little of it for myself. If you are interested in any way to purchase it, or to see the prices, please follow the links enclosed to go to one of my shops or Facebook to contact me. I will be sharing a couple more in the next couple of days, as well as some photos of a few more hiking pictures, to help those of you not familiar with New Hampshire to see the beauty surrounding us here! Hope you enjoy them all.

It seems, one prayer of mine has been answered and I will be driving a new car. Not new, as in off the showroom floor, but new as in, new to me. This is a great relief off of my mind for sure. So, Merry Christmas to me, and to the givers of this wonderful gift, and to you as well and those you love. I hope you  are having a wonderful Holiday Season, no matter, what holiday you celebrate, if any. No matter, wishing you lots of happiness, and blessings of every kind.

Now, also a quick update on the lottery horizon. Just to say, that my dream of winning the lottery this year, hes not come to pass, just yet. I am confident that one day soon, the message on here will be a joyous one. I can’t wait! Sending you lots of love, for yourself and all those you care about. Wishing you end this year with a smile and a life full. Full of blessings, love, joy, peace and happiness for all! Enough for today, and see you soon, diana

The Clock Keeps A Tickin’

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , on April 20, 2011 by dianaswonderworks

Well, time is running out. It is almost time to go. Our departure time is at approximately 3 am on Friday morning! Rough morning for sure, I am a morning person, but I prefer my mornings around sun up! Still packing what I can, right now it is a crawl, tomorrow we will be picking up the U-Haul trailer to start loading up. Hopefully, my assistants can handle the packing part while I can finally finish the packing up of things. Right now space is needed to really do much more. I am gong to go through my clothes tonight and bag up what I don’t need and drop it off at Goodwill, then with any luck I can squeeze in some car cleaning, before I load it up tomorrow.

Otherwise things have been going well, I am a little emotional. So many feelings at once. I am not a fan of goodbyes, plus just being anxious and excited about moving. I feel like I am going to explode sometimes. Hopefully my friends won’t kill me before then. Luckily, I think they are empathetic to my insanity!

One small glitch, the house is not quite ready for me, so I will be staying with my daughter for a couple of days, while they finish painting. The good news is, it will be    freshly painted, I am so very ready to get it all unpacked and looking nice and homey! Happy to say that money seems to be working out, wish it was more, but it is enough! Thank God! Now, I just have to get settled, put on my game face, find work and start making money and peddling my art! I am thinking of doing readings as well, for entertainment purposes only, of course.

Haven’t finished the painting I started last week. Plan on getting that finished once I get settled in (at my new home)! It feels so good, that I am going to have my own place again, just me and my projects. Plus, I get to be close to my grand-babies! It is all so very cool!

Hoping your week is going well. It seems our economy is really in the news of late, as well as the weather! Sometimes it seems everything is going wonky! It just means we have to pull up our boot straps and hang on for a bumpy ride! Get ready America, the rodeo has begun! Sending my love to you as always, may be a while before I can pop back in, not sure how long it will take to get my internet set up. Have a wonderful day, love, love, love to you, diana

A Day On The Mountain!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , on April 15, 2011 by dianaswonderworks

Well, today was a fun day, full of adventure, painting and road trips! The day started out as a usual day, quiet, no flea market that got canceled. So, sitting and thinking about or rather trying not to think about how I am going to make it to NH, with the money I have (not enough). When my friend suggested we go to the mountains to paint. Maybe we could make a little money, but mostly we have talked about doing this for a while. We never seem to have the time to go, and with only a few days until leaving time, she figured now or never!

So, we loaded up my girl, sad and old as she is, and off we went to go to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. Once we started driving, my friend became aware of how sad my poor car is at going uphill. She started thinking, that she would not make it up the step hills in the national park. So, we changed our plans and headed to Greenbriar park in the Smokeys. W It took us a little while to get there, and I noticed my car was running a little warm, so I told Sherry, when we get home later, remind me to check the fluids.

We arrive and find a nice spot under cover, at a picnic table and unloaded all our painting supplies and started to work. The winds today are ferocious, storms on the way and my acrylics were drying about as fast as I could load them on the brush. Both of us were having problems with gnats getting into our paints and onto our canvases. A few people came by, nothing crazy, and then this one couple came to talk to us and watch us work. They were from Indiana, and he brought out a cane from his car and asked Sherry if she could paint it. She was working with oils and knew it would be a while before the paint would dry, so she sent him over to me. It was a nice walking stick, with an old man’s face carved into the top of it. So, I told him $10 to fill it in with paint and I started to work. All told it took me maybe a half an hour and the work was done, it turned out really cute. He liked it, then he handed me a twenty, that was cool, I asked if he wanted his change and he said no. Off they went and I was thrilled to make gas money plus to go out to the park today. It was a lot of fun!

The ride home was interesting, we tried to come back the back roads to avoid all the traffic in town ( Rod Run is this weekend), unfortunately they were doing some blasting, and managed to cause an avalanche on the roads. We were forced to go back into town and fight the traffic back. My poor car, here she is low on water, and I am doing the crawl for miles in traffic. Thankfully we made it home without a glitch, and the storms are really starting to come over us now (just in the nick of time)!

Tonight, is an early night, weather willing, I will be at the Flea Market tomorrow. So, I will need lots of rest. God willing, I will win some money in the lottery tonight and I can go to NH with out money problems in a Brand New Car, and retire my girl (that would be the greatest! I think I will pray on that tonight! Anyway, hoping you are having a wonderful evening, where ever you are, sending you my love as always, diana

Jumping Out In Faith!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , on April 14, 2011 by dianaswonderworks

Well, today was interesting. The friend from my birthday has been burning up my phone lately, I have not been up to talking to her, so she contacted my other friend to see if she could visit me again! Hum, wonder what that will cost me?She brought presents and took me to lunch, I paid for more than half of the lunch and gave her a painting in trade for the presents! Never had a birthday like that! Anyway, she tried getting my other friend involved in making me meet up with her, and I told that friend I wasn’t going to be home tomorrow, which by the way, I am not. Tomorrow is a try at the Flea Market. Got to get my funds up, been praying and trusting that the power that is, will bring me the money I need. So, to show my faith (or insanity), I reserved a trailer for this Thursday to make it all happen. I was kind of hoping, the money would show in advance, but apparently that is not the case! Maybe the Head Spirit in change, wants to see if I trust him, so I jumped on that limb. I am hoping the landing is smooth and soft!

Also, despite the weather man’s calling for rain tomorrow, I am planning to do the Flea Market in hopes that I can generate enough sales to make it all go well this week. I do have some money saved, but not enough and things keep going awry. So, I say my prayers, leave it to the ultimate problem solver and keep my fingers crossed. I have done crazier things before, moved to Tennessee with only $300 dollars in my pocket and my clothes, that was 6 years ago. This time there is more expense and little more money, but I am taking my stuff (at least what I can afford to take and not sell). Anyway, the good news is apparently I picked a good time to move, it seems that rentals vary in price based on the need in the area of location. Lucky for me, they must be short in New Hampshire, the guy at U-Haul said it is usually  $600-$800 dollars to rent one, the price right now is $250. So, some things seem to be working in my favor, just got to hold out the rest will fall into place! I checked the lottery, nothing yet. I can only hope this is the dream I am waiting for. Who knows maybe I will do exceptionally well this weekend at the Flea Market. Maybe, just maybe, I will make a sale in one of my online shops! It is up to the universe to provide, I know I have a plan, and I feel like it is The Plan! Gut instincts tell me this is where I am supposed to be, so I have to run with it.

Anyway, hoping your day is just as exciting as mine, in a good way of course! The weekend is upon us and I can send you lots of happy thoughts, in the hopes that your weekend is one of the best you have had ever! Wishing you all the best and sending you my love as always, diana
