The Countdown Continues!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , on April 11, 2011 by dianaswonderworks

So, the weekend is over, so many tings to do and so little time. Everything seems to be sneaking up on me. I am so excited about moving, I cannot say it enough. However, as the day draws closer I feel more and more sadness about all the goodbyes ahead. The sadness, brings with it the fear of the unknown, the urge to remain where I am, keep that familiarity close. That voice has been so quiet and now everyday it gets louder and louder. The other voice welcoming the move, seems sometimes to be drowned out by this new sound. All I have left is to listen to my gut, and that is the quiet voice, hardest to hear when things aren’t screaming out at me.

But, when I look inside of me, I see the quiet peacefulness of the days ahead, and the new beginnings. It almost feels like, some one is speaking to me, some one calm and all he says is “It is going to be okay, you’ll see.”. I have to trust it, with everything else screaming at me, I have no choice but believe. So, once again, I am being drawn forward on faith alone. Leaving the worries behind me, I know they will follow, but I put them aside when they appear and move forward, knowing that it is as it is meant to be.

No mega millions for me, just yet! But I feel the day draws closer all the time. With the move going into the real planning part now, I do really wish the money was with me, just to simplify things. I am sure that for all who have won already it has gone where it needed to go. So the best of luck with it.

I have finished reading my last Sylvia Browne book, that my friend loaned to me. I must say it really confirmed a lot of things for me, it also opened so many new doors and ideas for me as well. I feel that this time in my life will be filled with more opportunities to grow and learn, as well as teach and help others too. This makes, all my struggles seem so small and insignificant as well. It is all so new, and also so very awakening for me too. I have always wanted to be a part of something to give back, I do believe I have been overly blessed, and therefore need to share those blessings with others. The ability to learn quickly, and communicate well is always an advantage to some one who will teach. This I know is part of a greater calling for me, and I can only guess at where it will take me. So, looking ahead, I will be focusing on using my talents to help others grow and learn things they wish to learn, but also seeking out learning for myself to be the best I can be!

Getting ready to sign off, and do some things around the house. I also have to do some research on moving trailers to get me to my new home. I love you all, and as always wish you the very best, diana!/profile.php?id=100000810145663*

New Adventures!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , on February 9, 2011 by dianaswonderworks

Good morning to all! Been super busy lately, so much going on and no time to relay it to anyone! The time has come for some simplification of my life and goals to make it all the more achievable. So , off I go to do my work and get myself a routine that will work for me. I have decided to backtrack to my original plan of focusing on online networking, and hopefully in the spring moving forward into trying out some other endeavors on my own. The possibilities are as follows, art shows, a farmers market or flea market. I will do my best in the next few weeks to check out these venues and see which one appeals to me the most. I hope that a little research will give me a good idea of which of these opportunities will suite my art career the best. If by chance it turns out to be multiple, I will start with the most promising and try to figure out a way to add to my schedule as needed and when possible.

I am sure you may be wondering, I did leave the gallery. It was a wonderful experience, but life has carried me away once again. So, for now I think it best to move forward on my own, that way I do not have to feel like I am letting some one else’s dream go down, when life takes a crazy left!

Lottery update, nothing yet. But, I do not lose hope, tomorrow is another day. I am determined to see it come true and anxiously await the moment it does! You know the old saying “All good things to those who wait!” So, like a good girl I am waiting.

The painting posted today is a new one I am going to load into my shops today. I hope you like it, it is quite colorful, and playful (like most of my art). It has a lot of purples in it, and personally I think it is very happy! Would love to hear your feedback on it, if you choose to share. Also, if you have any ideas on how to expand on this business or others, please feel free to drop a line or two. For me and all who read here, it is about expanding and growing our businesses. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, and many will be put into prectice, either by me or some one reading here. Don’t be shy!

Lots to do now. Got to get this painting listed and off to make some more art. got a busy season ahead. I am so excited and can’t wait to see how it all pans out. For now, it is about having as much art made as possible to increase my possibilities for success. Wish me luck and love! To you and yours, I send all my love and happy thoughts for a happy and plentiful day, as always, diana!/profile.php?id=100000810145663*

Car Shopping Anyone?

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , on January 4, 2011 by dianaswonderworks

Well, still staying busy. Worked at the gallery today, pretty quiet, made a couple of small sales, hoping for more this week for sure. Anyway, just a note to you all out there with online shops. The scammers are at it again. I got an e-mail from some one on my Zibbet store, he was inquiring about one of my paintings. He requested I send him a money request and from there it got crazy. The good news is I learned how to do that. I had never done a request for payment in Paypal, so I learned something that will most certainly come in handy in the future! Very cool, guess that is how people sell on Facebook and other such sites, good to know. Anyway, back to my buddy, he starts with how much he loves the painting. Then how he is a collector, and is a sailor. From there, it is how he is at sea, and if he sends me extra money, will I pay for the storage for this painting. I check out the address for shipping, it is UCLA, yeah, the university. Whatever, I took back the money request and sent him an e-mail declining his offer to purchase. So, just a note to be wary, they are up to getting money from every venue possible. Spread the word, and keep your heads clear.

As for the lottery, tonight is a drawing, and I am certain to be winning soon. So this evening, I spent going online and picking out the cars, yes plural, I am going to buy, and shopped for one for my youngest as well. The oldest child of mine I think is good for vehicles, she may need some down payment for a home or business. Anyway, the cars are picked, down to the colors and extras. Now it is time for me to decide where I want to live, coastal, I am pretty sure, and need to be close to a good gallery for me as well. If anyone has any pointers, would love to hear them. Give me an idea, where you think my art would do well. I mean it is selling here, and this is no big city! Would love to hear your thoughts!

Been working on some new art, hopefully this weekend while I am off, I can spend some time downloading everything to give you some more good art. Hoping your New Year is off to a great start. I think this is going to be a great year, for me for sure. I do hope it is even greater for you! Sending out my love to you all, diana!/profile.php?id=100000810145663*

More New Art!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , on December 5, 2010 by dianaswonderworks

Well, let’s try this again. Was almost finished with this post when the internet went bust! Not even sure if I can really replicate it, but I will do my best, lost everything I was writing. Anyway, as promised I am posting some of the new art I have been working on lately. I hope you love it. It has been hectic at times, but it is so energizing and exciting to be able to work on some thing I love l=so much. In the pictures of art, I am also enclosing some pictures of the wall I am trying to fill at the gallery. It has been a challenge, putting it up and selling it as I go along. I haven’t had tons of sales, but it has been promising. There have been four small sales of tiny canvases, plus one bigger canvas, a couple of prints. It has been a lot of fun, and very uplifting and exhilarating to see them go out the door. It has also made my schedule really busy trying to fill the empty spaces in the gallery, and in double because as I fill them, they seem to to be leaving too! It has been such a precious opportunity to be in a gallery and to see my artwork appreciated. For those of you interested in purchasing anything from the items I post, please fell free to contact me here or through and of my stores. As yet, there has not been time to post these items yet or update my shops. With any luck today or tomorrow, I will try to make time to do so. If not do not be disappointed, I will be happy to give you any information on these items, such as size, media, prices and shipping availability and costs.

Now, also, I was contacted yesterday from Baobao bags about the new artist contest. It is finally my turn to have my art posted on their site. If you could it would be great to have you go to the link and vote for me. It would be an honor and a wonderful opportunity to have the exposure. As soon as I find out it is up, I will post the link here for you. It is a simple process, and will only take maybe a minute or two of your time, literally. They have a wonderful, quick and efficient process. Hoping you are having a wonderful weekend, mine has just begun, since we are open on Saturday. So much to do today.

Another small win on the lottery yesterday, hoping for the big deal soon. I am ready to explode, so many good things around me now. Money is starting to flow. Hope is surrounding me, prospects of a wonderful future and new beginnings! Well, time to get busy working, still have to go to the store, and finish laundry, dishes, and finally work on some art to take to work on Tuesday! Wishing you the best for the weekend, and as always sending out my love to you and the ones you love, be blessed, diana!/profile.php?id=100000810145663*

Chapter “Madness”

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , on November 2, 2010 by dianaswonderworks

Well, I told you it was the start of a new chapter, and boy was I right on. It has been crazy. I started my new job. I am working for commission in a Gallery in Gatlinburg, The Apple Tree Gallery. It is fun, sales have been horrendous, not good for starting out. I can only hope it improves.  I am thrilled to have a job, and the opportunity to display my art as well. It has been a long road to get to this point. Beggars can’t be choosers, and I have been begging for work and an Art Gallery to put my art in for a very long time! I am hoping that soon I will get my schedule acclimated so that I may finally get to blogging more often. I really miss it! Hoping life has been very kind to you as well. My new boss, the owner of the gallery is a story teller, and I will have to share some of them with you. But, the problem is they are always in parts, he gets distracted quite easily. Once I get a full one, I will share I promise, most of them are informative and some are quite funny!

As for my temporary disappearance, I have been overwhelmed with work to do. I only hope that some of it will pay off. For now it is still costing me time and money. Keep your fingers crossed, this has been a lucky break for me, I am doing my best to make it work and work well! I leave the house around 9:30 am and do not return till 5:30 at the earliest. The rest of my time is filled with laundry, grocery shopping, house work, cooking, painting ( to put in the gallery), and jewelry making and pricing to leave in the gallery or put in the craft store ( an acquaintance of mine opened recently). Not much time for anything else, except a few hours of sleep. But, I think I am finally getting close to freeing up some time, finally! I will say that, as exhausting as it has been, it has also been quite exhilarating as well. I am really happy to be doing something that I hope will help me fulfill my childhood dreams!

Now, as for the lottery, I am afraid that has been a dry period. Like a desert, no rain to quench the thirst of all those hungry bill collectors, who haunt many of us. I only hope that one day soon, I will be able to pay them off and feel free from debt and obligation for a while. Just some time to breath in the fresh air, with no one tugging on those purse strings. I have done some more works of art and will continue to post them as I have time. I can only say I am very excited, and can’t wait for things to continue to move in a positive direction. They say hope floats, but I am water logged, from floating so long! Someone Reel Me In! Well, enough for now I think, so much to do. With any luck at all, I will have something way more interesting to share tomorrow! As always, sending my love and now some good luck to you and yours, diana!/profile.php?id=100000810145663*

A New Chapter!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , on October 26, 2010 by dianaswonderworks

It has been a while. I have been relentlessly busy and have had no time to much of anything but work. The good news is I have a job, sales, in a gallery! This is great news, because, even though I am only commission (business is slow), I am finally able to have a platform for my artwork! I am excited, so I work there during the day, and in the evening it is all about housework, artwork, laundry, cooking, baking, shopping and paying bills. Tonight will be more of the same, with a quick peek in, on my blogs to update and add a post. I am working hard on getting some art together that will fill the needs of the clientele in this area. Everyday, I work on one thing after another, and with any luck at all, I will find my niche. People seem to like landscapes of the area, and flowers, or wildlife,. Flowers I can do, so I need to build an inventory of that, while also, working on learning landscapes, and going back to my roots as a child and making some wildlife themed works as well.

Things have been really hectic, but I am happy and excited about the prospects ahead of me. I am hoping this is finally the break I am looking for. Recently, one of the ladies I met at the craft show also opened up a craft shop in town. So, on top of everything else, I am building some jewelry displays for her shop as well. Once the displays are ready, I will be able to set up my jewelry in her shop to sell. Lots of things going on, and I am tired a lot, but really exhilarated as well. In essence, I am apologizing for anyone, who really does follow me for the delay in postings, and asking for some more time to get things in order. With any luck after this week, things should calm down a bit. Once the jewelry has a home, and I have some works to display in the gallery, things should slow a little bit. I will continue to be busy of course, trying to keep up with things. Crazy as it sounds, I hope really busy, because that will mean I am getting sales and finally making an income of my own. All dreams of mine in the works, if you do follow you know this already.

Now, as per my lottery winnings, there is nothing new to report as of late. Things have been quiet for a while now. Probably, because so much else is happening right now. My goal to win has not abated, however. Wishing every one of you the best of luck in your own lives. I miss doing the blog, and will pop in as much as possible to keep you updated and to just send my love. One more great update to share, about the car problems from a couple of months ago. She is running great, and the auto repair shop owner, ended up not charging me at all for their time and effort! Great shop and wonderful man, I hope that his business continues to grow and prosper! He is well deserving of it! Sending you my love, time to run and work until my eyes droop, as always wishing you the best, diana!/profile.php?id=100000810145663*
